Walter’s life purpose is to create a world in which youth have the power, resources, mentorship, and opportunities to be the leaders of their destiny. He co-founded Bridgemakers at 17 after interning for the Minneapolis Foundation and co-leading a youth advocacy coalition called Twin Cities Changemakers in high school.
As a first-generation valedictorian high school graduate, Walter has experienced significant adversary. He channeled his anger and pain into purpose and action, going from working three jobs to support himself and his family to keynoting conferences across the country and leading social change in the Twin Cities.
