Lincoln Bacal
Lincoln (she/her) is a Minneapolis-based organizer and community leader who believes all young people deserve joy and prosperity. As a founding member, she helped lead the Bridgemakers team from meetings as a volunteer coalition to a fully funded, full-time team working to bring purpose, prosperity, and power to Minnesota youth through systems transformation.
Outside of Bridgemakers, Lincoln serves in a leadership role on the Youthprise Board of Directors, runs a consulting business helping individuals and organizations strategically build power in their communities through community organizing tactics, and co-chairs the Minnesota Opportunity Youth Network. Lincoln began organizing at 14, inspired by a series of disempowering experiences at both conventional and nonconventional schools. Before graduating high school, Lincoln co-led a bipartisan legislative campaign that changed a discriminatory state law and granted high school students $35 million in pandemic aid, and worked on other campaigns oriented around climate justice and students’ rights.
At Bridgemakers, Lincoln is responsible for internal support of employee wellbeing and growth, as well as external connections and relationship development with our partners.
